How to find out if its fake?

Check the from email address. Mails from Income-tax department will have incometax.gov.in in their email address. These fake mails does not seem to be from income-tax Department

The fake email provides a different (normally fake) link to click and submit details or to make payment. Never click these links….

The from address will be a fake address with. Also the “To” field will be either empty or not your email id registered with Income-tax Department
